Station Anywhere¶
Client: Ian Bartenev, Microneedle Solutions Ltd.
Automated manufacturing stations combine machinery, sensors and camera-based quality inspection, yet operators often need several separate tools to understand what the equipment is doing. Microneedle Solutions is developing a medical manufacturing station and wants to make its operation clear and accessible, both beside the equipment and remotely. Your task is to design and prototype a connected system through which authorised users can view live station status, sensor readings, inspection images, alerts and operational logs, and issue appropriate control commands. It should provide an intuitive tablet interface at the station and explore how the same capabilities could be delivered securely over the internet. The key technical challenge is maintaining an accurate, responsive and safe view of the station across local and remote connections while managing user permissions, equipment faults and network interruptions. The project may prioritise either the on-station interface or the remote capability, while considering how both could ultimately work together. We can provide sample inspection images, recorded or simulated sensor data, representative control interfaces and engineering guidance. The technical approach and user experience are open for the team to shape.
