Sustainability challenges are shared globally but experienced locally. International collaboration enables solutions that combine technical expertise with community need and insight, creating mutual value and developing technological agency. Your task is to create an open-source solutions repository that will enable international collaboration between graduate and undergraduate students in Africa, Europe and beyond. The repository will document the specification, development and refinement of a wide range of design components that may be suitable for fabrication in maker spaces, urban workshops, or with tools available in rural farming communities. Using LoRaWAN technology, these components will form solutions that address problems of climate adaptation and sustainability. The final product should document and clearly present how components are integrated into solutions, and support versioning of both individual components and solutions adapted for specific local contexts. The repository should also provide online educational content that can be delivered on demand by universities or expert practitioners to meet the most urgent or requested skills.
